The world needs Co:Create Ink
The cultural impact and relevance of tattooing is felt across the world. It’s an art form that goes back thousands of years, and today, the global market is estimated to exceed $2 billion in sales annually. The prevalence and acceptance of tattoos has grown significantly in recent years, with an estimated 1 in 3 Americans now having a tattoo. For women between the ages of 18-49, those with a tattoo exceed 50%.
As tattoos have grown in popularity, so have the status of the artists driving the industry forward. The top tattoo artists in the world are in high demand, with appointment wait times often extending several months to years in the future. Yet the fact remains that these artists are still paid for their time as opposed to their art. Co:Create Ink will offer ways to generate new income streams and monetization methods for artists, such as digital art royalties, fixed-price sales, auctions, and more. By doing so, artists will be compensated for the value of their art, not just their time in the chair.
Beyond the Chair: The Tattoo Revolution
The Co:Create Ink platform will launch in the coming months, with ten top global artists. These artists will have their own digital gallery where they can sell tattoo designs for a fixed price or at an auction. These unique designs will be minted as dynamic NFTs, creating a permanent digital representation and archive of the artist’s work. By purchasing one of these “digital tattoos,” collectors will be able to get the tattoo inked in person by that artist. Upon the tattoo being redeemed, the dynamic NFT will update to reflect its status and the date the tattoo was inked, with the option to capture the story and the tattoo’s meaning for that individual collector.
Co:Create Ink will be a curated, invite-only platform for top tattoo artists with the creativity and skill to build communities and fandom “beyond the chair.” We aim to provide the tools to elevate their work and to create a permanent digital representation of their tattoos and the incredible global network of collectors connected to an artist.
The needs of tattoo artists and enthusiasts are at the core of our design; Co:Create Studios is building Co:Create Ink to help tattoo artists have their work valued like fine art. Our powerful tools can bring them the longevity, value, and exposure they deserve.
